Our Staff

Greg Chisholm, Senior Pastor
July 2015 marked my 10th year at Temple Baptist. As I look back over the 10 years, it is evident that God's presence has been consistently with us. He has fulfilled His promises to give us rest from our enemies, to convict and transform us of sin, to equip us to do His Kingdom work, to transform us more into the image of Jesus Christ, to bring the nations to us and us to the nations, to give us a love for our neighbors and a love for our enemies, and to manifest His presence among us for His glory.
Over the last few years, I have witnessed a noticeable increase in God's manifested presence with us. This has resulted in personal and corporate holiness, an increase in spiritual growth and an increase in the manifestation of His gifts being active at our gatherings and in our people's home, work and social places. His healing presence is among us.
I was not raised to be a follower of Jesus. Yet, God though His mercy revealed Himself to me during my sophomore year at college. I became a follower of Jesus Christ in December 1982. He made Himself known to me. He offered me eternal life through Jesus if I put my faith in Him. Right then, I made a commitment to follow Him every day of my life. Each day since, He has led me.
I married to Wendy (July, 1987), and we have one daughter. We do a lot together as a family. For stress relief and exercise, I enjoy riding my bike throughout the streets of San Francisco, Marin, and the South Peninsula.
If you are looking for a place where the Supreme Being of the universe is making Himself known, I invite you to come and visit us.
Zach Thwaits, Associate Pastor
My name is Zach and I am the Associate Pastor at Temple Baptist Church.  I have been serving at Temple Baptist Church since 2006. I love San Francisco and it is an honor and blessing to be a part of what God is doing in our church, our city and our world.
I grew up in the great state of Wisconsin and moved to San Francisco to minister at the church a year after graduating from the University of Minnesota. I married my beautiful wife Meghan in 2009, graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2010 and was ordained in 2012.  I recently began a Doctor of Ministry program at United Theological Seminary.  Meghan and I were blessed with a baby girl, Riyah, in December 2012 and another baby girl, Shalom, in January 2017.
On top of ministry, I love to spend time with my family and friends.  I also love to bike, drink coffee, drink green juice, read, travel, connect with people over a good meal, and cheer on my beloved Green Bay Packers.
Dima Litvinenko, Worship Minister
Hello! My name is Dima, I am the Worship Minister at TBC. I never thought after moving to the USA that I would serve in a great church - Temple Baptist Church! This is a great blessing and an honor for me to be a part of the church and serve the people in this church!
I was born and raised in Ukraine. I accepted Jesus Christ when I was 10 years old and by age 12 I became a music director in a small worship group. I studied at the Music College as a guitar-teacher and then at the Music Academy as a Symphonic conductor.
I married my beautiful wife Julia on August 12th, 2007. On June 24th, 2013, God blessed us with a beautiful baby girl, Emilia, and on December 7th, 2016, God blessed us with another beautiful baby girl, Michelle.
I like to get up early to drink my coffee and spend time with God. I also love to spend time with my wife and daughters, go to the ocean beach, read books, connect with people, travel and just play the piano and guitar.
If you are looking for a church where you can realize your abilities and talents for God, we are open and welcome you to our friendly family - Temple Baptist Church!"
Jorge Chavez, Spiritual Formation Minister
Hello everyone, my name is Jorge Chavez and I’m the newly appointed Spiritual Formation Minister at TBC. Thankfully, God called me to TBC in May of 2014 and ever since that day I’ve been on an exhilarating, paradigm shifting and transforming spiritual journey. It’s that same journey that on a daily basis, continues to leave me in awe of how holy, how mighty, how majestic, how kind and how loving our Lord Jesus Christ has always been, always is and always will be.

As of January 2017, I'm a newly wed husband and father, I’m a seminary student at Gateway Seminary (formerly known as Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary), and I’m an “adjunct” professor for my school’s Contextualized Leadership Development (CLD) program, which I teach in Spanish.

I was raised in a Christian home but I didn’t come to fully surrender my life to the Lord until I was 22 years old, which was directly after a long, confusing and heart breaking 3 ½ year period of darkness. Consequently, I would not be a pastor today had it not been for that horrific season of my life, which was then met by the grace, mercy and forgiveness of God. Since God saw fit to reveal Himself and His love to me back in 2003, it has my foremost desire to help others see and experience these things for themselves, especially since the Bible makes it clear that God has promised these things to anyone who seeks after Him. That beings said, what I did not know back then but what I know now is that God in His mercy, also chooses to reveal Himself to those who do not seek after Him or thirst for Him. God revealed to me and allowed me to experience His love and mercy when I deserved nothing but the complete opposite. If God revealed Himself to me and I was the worst person I’ve ever known… who won’t He reveal Himself to?

My hope and my prayer is that when God reveals Himself to His children, that they will have the courage to surrender themselves to God, so that He can radically transform them in the power of His love, His Spirit and His mercy. God bless you!
