Leadership = Servantship
The greatest one among you will live as the one who is called to serve others, because the greatest honor and authority is reserved for the one with the heart of a servant. Matthew 20:26b-27 TPT
Wendy and Greg Chisholm

Leadership at TBC is defined as Servantship Isaiah 42:1-4 describes Jesus as chosen, clothed in the Holy Spirit, gentle, not quarrelsome, not exalting his own voice, nor would He would ever crush a broken heart nor disregard the weak and vulnerable.

The women and men on TBC’s Servantship Team positions themselves to:

  • fulfill their calling of preparing others to fulfill their ministry destiny

And their calling is to nurture and prepare all the holy believers to do their own works of ministry, and as they do this they will enlarge and build up the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:12 TPT

  • to be filled with the Holy Spirit

We want you to carefully select from among yourselves seven godly men. Make sure they are honorable, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, and we will give them the responsibility of this crucial ministry of serving. Acts 6:3 TPT

  • receive their identity through being a child of God not role or title

And since we are his true children, we qualify to share all his treasures, for indeed, we are heirs of God himself. And since we are joined to Christ, we also inherit all that he is and all that he has. We will experience being co-glorified with him provided that we accept his sufferings as our own. Romans 8:17 TPT

  • glorify God by serving our Master the Lord Jesus Christ

Charlatans praise themselves and seek honor from men, but my Father sent me to speak truth on his behalf. And I have no false motive, because I seek only the glory of God. John 7:18 TPT

  • foregoes his/her rights to serve others

For even the Son of Man did not come expecting to be served by everyone, but to serve everyone, and to give his life as the ransom price in exchange for the salvation of many. Mark 10:45 TPT
